# Record and Use Video in GetAccept

Record and embed videos directly in your contracts and deal rooms to add personality to your sales process.

You can record videos directly in **Contracts** and **Deal Rooms** - making it easy to greet prospects, explain content, or guide them through the next steps.

# Where You Can Record Videos

1. **Contract, Before Sending**  
   - Record a video that appears **immediately when the recipient opens the link** to your contract.  
   - Perfect for personal introductions or explaining the contract's purpose.  
   - Each contract video is unique to that document.

**How to record:**  
   1. Open your contract draft.  
   2. Before sending, click **Record Video**.  
   3. Record and select your thumbnail.  
   4. Save and send your contract.

2. **Contract Template, Video Block**  
   - Add a **video block** to your contract template.  
   - Record a video once, and it will appear **every time the template is used**.  
   - Ideal for standard welcome messages, product overviews, or onboarding videos.

**How to record:**  
   1. Open your contract template.  
   2. Add or select the **Video Block**.  
   3. Click **Record Video**.  
   4. Select your thumbnail and save.

3. **Deal Room, Introduction Section**  
   - Record a video for the **introduction section** of your Deal Room.  
   - This video plays as soon as the prospect opens the Deal Room link.  
   - Great for making a memorable first impression.

**How to record:**  
   1. Open your Deal Room.  
   2. In the hero section, click **Record Video**.  
   3. Select your video/audio source.  
   4. Record and choose your thumbnail.  
   5. Save changes.

4. **Deal Room, Within Your Content**  
   - Record a video **directly within a content section** of your Deal Room.  
   - Use this to explain documents, highlight offers, or guide the prospect through materials.

**How to record:**  
   1. Go to the relevant content section in your Deal Room.  
   2. Click **Record Video** in that section.  
   3. Choose your source, record, and select a thumbnail.  
   4. Save your video.

5. **Deal Room, As an update post**  
   - When you **publish** changes to a room, you can [create an update post](https://help.getaccept.com/en/articles/8416140-updates-for-deal-room#h_1844f787dc) to let your buyers know what you've changed.  
   - As well as writing update notes, you can also record a video to explain what's changed, or what you'd like participants to do next.  
   - When you've made changes to a room, press **Publish** and then **Create a post**.  
   - You can Record a video, or upload a media file from your computer.

# Using Thumbnail and Source Selection Features

- **Thumbnail selection:**
  - Choose from recommended frames
  - Use a slider to select your own
  - Upload a custom image

- **Source selection:**
  - Pick your camera (built-in or external)
  - Pick your microphone (built-in or external)

A great thumbnail draws attention and sets the tone - choose one where you look friendly and professional.

# Best Practices

- **Match the context**: Use personal videos for 1:1 contracts, evergreen videos for templates.
- **Keep it short**: Aim for 30-60 seconds to hold attention.
- **Look into the camera**: Create a personal connection.
- **Check your setup**: Good lighting and audio quality make a big difference.
