How to Duplicate or Reuse a Template

Learn how to duplicate templates, convert documents into templates, and save reusable content for consistent and efficient document creation.

Overview

Duplicating and reusing templates allows you to quickly create variations of your existing content without starting from scratch.

You can duplicate full templates, convert any document into a reusable template, or save specific Content Resources as reusable resources.

How to Duplicate a Template

If you already have a template you’d like to reuse or modify, you can duplicate it directly from the Content Library.

  1. Go to Content Library → Templates.
  2. Hover over the template you want to copy.
  3. Click the ⋯ (More actions) menu.
  4. Select Duplicate.
  5. Rename your new template and make any edits as needed.

Duplicating templates makes it easy to maintain consistent designs while adapting content for different teams, languages, or markets.

How to Convert a Document into a Template

If you have a draft or Send-out you’d like to reuse, you can easily convert it into a template.

  1. Open the document.
  2. Click the ⋯ (More actions) menu.
  3. Select Convert to template.
  4. Name your new template and confirm.

How to Save Content Blocks as Reusable Resources

You can save specific sections, such as pricing tables, legal clauses, or summaries, as reusable content.

  1. Open a document or template in the Editor.
  2. Hover over the block you want to reuse.
  3. Click the ⋯ (More actions) menu.
  4. Select Save as reusable content.

The block is now available in your Content Library → Resources.
