You can create templates using Google Docs, allowing you to inline edit your document before sending it out. This helps maintain consistent formatting and enables easy content updates directly within your GetAccept account.

To successfully authorize your Google account, you **must** log into GetAccept using the URL [https://app.getaccept.com](https://help.getaccept.com/en/articles/1784714-how-to-connect-your-getaccept-account-to-google-docs). You **cannot** use your subdomain (`<your-domain>.getaccept.com`) when authorizing the integration. Follow these steps before continuing:

1. Open [https://app.getaccept.com](https://help.getaccept.com/en/articles/1784714-how-to-connect-your-getaccept-account-to-google-docs).
2. Log in with your credentials ( **you must be an admin**).
3. Proceed with the instructions below.

## **How to Connect Your GetAccept Account to Google Docs**

1. Navigate to **Settings** in your GetAccept account.
2. Select **Integrations**.
3. Scroll down until you find **Google Docs**.

4. Click **Connect**.
5. A window will appear, prompting you to authorize Google Docs to access your GetAccept account.

6. Click the **Authorize Google Docs** button and select the **Gmail account** associated with the Google Drive you want to use.

Grant GetAccept permission to access your Google Drive. **GetAccept will only access documents and folders created through the integration.**

Once connected, you can view and manage the **Documents** and **Templates** folders that GetAccept creates within your Google Drive.

## **Sharing Google Docs Templates with Your Team**

For your colleagues to create and edit documents from your Google Docs templates, they must be logged into a **Google account** in their browser. You will need to manually set the following permissions in **Google Drive**:

- **Edit access** to the document folder.
- **Read access** to the template folder.

If colleagues need to **edit templates**, they must have **edit access** to the template folder.

Users can share a common Google account (e.g., a free Gmail address) if necessary.

## **Check Folder Permissions**

If the connection is not working:

- Open the intended folder in Google Drive.
- Click the **sharing icon** (two people symbol) next to the folder name.

- Ensure **[docs@getaccept.com](https://help.getaccept.com/en/articles/1784714-how-to-connect-your-getaccept-account-to-google-docs)** is listed as an **editor**.

- If it is missing, you may have attempted to share the wrong account.

## **Verify File Format**

#### If you cannot open or edit the template in GetAccept:

- Confirm the file is a **Google Document**.
- Open the file in Google Drive.
- If it is a Google Doc, there will be **no file type tag** next to the title.
- If a tag (e.g., `.docx`) appears, the file must be converted to Google Docs format.

#### **Fix Error 400: redirect_uri_mismatch**

If you receive this error when setting up the integration:

- Ensure you are not using your **subdomain** (`<your-domain>.getaccept.com`).
- Change the URL to **[https://app.getaccept.com](https://app.getaccept.com/)** before authorizing Google Docs.

#### **Fix Pop-Up Issues**

If you click the **edit icon**, but only see a blank grey window:

- Check if a **pop-up blocker** is preventing the window from opening.
